Rodrin This research study aimed to determine the income and employment of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to determine: the socio-demographic profile of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite; the status of employment of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite; the monthly income of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite; the relationship between the socio-demographic profile of employed high school graduates and their income; the relationship between the income of employed high school graduates and their status of employment; and the problems encountered by the employed highschool graduates in their present employment. The study was conducted from November 4, 2013 to December 12, 2013 in selected business locators of Cavite such as Cavite Economic Zone, Cavite Carmona Industrial Estate and First Cavite Industrial Estate. Fishbowl sampling technique was used to select the three companies or agencies in each of the three business locators of Cavite. The information regarding the total number of employed highschool graduates in selected business locators of Cavite was gathered from the human resource department of three selected companies or agencies in each of the three business locators of Cavite. The total population of employed high school graduates was 4,216. Quota proportionate sampling was applied to determine the number of participants to be interviewed. Stratified proportionate sampling was employed to determine the number of participants per company in each business locator. Convenience sampling was used in selecting the participants from each business locator. A total of 200 participants was the target sample size of the study. Data on socio-demographic profile, status of employment and monthly income of employed high school graduates were analyzed using descriptive statistical tools such as frequency count, percentages, means and ranges. Ranking was used to present the problems encountered by the employed high school graduates. The chi-square test was used to determine the relationship between the socio-demographic profile of employed high school graduates and their income and the relationship of their income to their status of employment. The results of the analysis showed that 71 percent were male and 29 percent were female with mean age of 25 years, majority of the participants were single had 1 to 4 dependents and most of them had 1 to 5 household members. Twenty two percent of them were married while 1 percent each was widower and separated, respectively. All of the participants were assigned in production area. Majority of them were employed on a contractual basis with an average of 51.34 months length of service. The results of chi-square test showed that socio-demographic profile such as sex, civil status, number of dependents, and household size were found not significant to the income of the participants, while their age was found to be significantly related to their income. The status of employment such as length of service and nature of appointment were found significantly related to the income of the participants.

This research study aimed to determine the income and employment of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to determine: the socio-demographic profile of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite; the status of employment of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite; the monthly income of high school graduates employed in selected business locators of Cavite; the relationship between the socio-demographic profile of employed high school graduates and their income; the relationship between the income of employed high school graduates and their status of employment; and the problems encountered by the employed highschool graduates in their present employment.
