Abstract: GORGONIA, MANIBEL A. KRONA International Service Systems, Inc. An Undergraduate Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing, Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. April 2007. Adviser: Ms. Lina C. Abogadie. A field study was conducted at KRONA International Service Systems, Inc. located at GIF, SMS Annex Building, 213 Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City, Philippines from November 20, 2006 to February 14, 2007. It was conducted to expose the trainee to the actual management operations of the recruitment agency. Also, the study aimed to: gain knowledge and skills in the operation and management of a recruitment agency; describe the process of deployment of employees abroad; describe the organization and management policies of the firm; and identify the problems encountered by the firm and recommend feasible solutions. The information about the company were obtained through interviews with the company's personnel and observations on the company's operations. Other related information were gathered from the records of the company and other related reading materials. The activities of the company include the recruitment of qualified employees/ applicants for a specific job positions required by the clients and deployment to different countries worldwide. The most common problem faced by the firm is the withdrawal of applications due to delayed advice from the foreign employers. Applicants have waited for a long time and the firm cannot give them definite advice because of the absence of confirmation from the employers abroad. Activities done by the trainee in the firm involved clerical works, such as; encoding of resumes/files and filing of documents of the applicants, depositing money to different banks, assessing the walk-in applicants, helping the reception personnel and recruitment officer to search for qualified applicants from the data bank.
