Psychosocial Maturity, Academic Motivation and Career Plans of Students in Open High School Program at Trece Martires City National High School. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Thesis Adviser: Cecilia B. Banaag, PhD. The study was conducted in Trece Martires City National High School, Cavite to determine the relationship of the psychosocial maturity, academic motivation and career plans of students in Open High School Program at Trece Martires City National High School. Specifically, the study tried to; (1) determine the level of psychosocial maturity of students Open High School Program at Trece Martires City National High School in terms of responsibility, perspective, and temperance; (2) determine the academic motivation of students in Open High School Program at Trece Martires City National High School in terms of intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, and a motivation; (3) determine the career plans of students in Open High School Program at Trece Martires City National High School; (4) determine the relationship between the psychosocial maturity and academic motivation, psychosocial maturity and career plans, and academic motivation and career plans; and (5) determine the predictors of career plans of students in Open High School Program at Trece Martires City National High School, Cavite. The study included 146 participants, 70 boys and 76 girls ages ranging from 14-32 years old. The instruments utilized in the study were the Psychosocial Maturity Inventory (PSM-I), Academic Motivation Scale (AMS-HS 28) High School Version, and Career Plan Questionnaire. The study found out that the students in the Open High School Program possessed high level of psychosocial maturity and academic motivation. The study also found out that psychosocial maturity has no significant relationship with academic motivation; however, responsibility may influence motivation intrinsically and extrinsically. Moreover, psychosocial maturity and academic motivation were found not predictors of career plan of students.
