April 2014. Adviser: Ms. Poinsettia A. Vida. The Development of a 2-Dimensional Locator Map for Indang, Cavite was conducted at Cavite State University Main Campus, Indang Cavite from October 2012 to January 2014. The main objective of the project was to design and construct a 2-dimensional locator map for Indang, Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to develop a software system suitable for the designed and fabricated the 2-dimensional locator map. The designed 2D locator map focused on giving the location of the desired destination within the Municipality of Indang, Cavite. The locator map has an MMS feature that enables users to receive an image that contains information about their chosen destination. The locator map uses an Android phone which serves as the transceiver. The design project was setup and evaluated at the College of Engineering and Information Technology. During the evaluation, faculty and students evaluated the device using the following parameters: the accessibility of the standalone kiosk, its Graphic User Interface and animation, and the MMS/SMS feature, there was a total of one hundred respondents during the evaluation. Results of the evaluation show that the 2D locator map is accepted by the participants. The total cost of the project was 18,102.10 pesos.
