Web-based School Management System for Alfonso National High School.
Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State

The study was conducted from March 2018 to May 2019 at Cavite State University,
Indang, Cavite and Alfonso National High School to develop a Web-based School Management
System for Alfonso National High School. Specifically, it aimed to record all the personal
information and data of a student and teacher in a more organize, easier to search and more
secure way, then provide a computerized interactive dashboard to manage and display
information like academic calendar in most convenient way to understand and lastly develop a
paperless transaction that will aid in easier, more accurate and faster processing of information.
The methodology used by the researchers was iterative development process in
development of the system which includes 5 phases: planning, requirements, design,
implementation and testing and evaluation or review phase.
The system is comprised of 5 modules: backend module, teacher whereabouts, student and
teacher record management, academic calendar, and student violation module. It was evaluated
using questionnaire anchored on the ISO 9126.
The respondents were composed of ten (10) professors of Department of Information
Technology for technical evaluation and fifty (50) respondents, composed of 42 students and 8
teachers of Alfonso National High School. Based on the result of the evaluation, the system
was rated as excellent in terms of its reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, functionality,
portability and user-friendliness. The system passed all the criteria and met all the requirements
and the objectives.
