The study was conducted in the 16 Municipalities and Cities in Cavite to describe the profile of the different municipalities and cities in terms of its physical, demographic, and economic characteristics; identify the different programs and projects in the municipalities and cities determine the status of the different programs and projects and other related information such as sponsors, budget and duration; and identify the needs and benefits in implementing the different programs and projects. Secondary data were obtained from the Planning Department of the City and Municipality in Cavite. Among the 23 municipalities and cities, Maragondon was the biggest in terms of land area while Noveleta was the smallest. All the 23 municipalities and cities have has different topography and different type of soil. Dasmarirlas was the most populated and Temate was the least. Silang had then highest percentage of farmers engaged in animal production and Rosario had the highest percentage of industrial establishments. Overall, out of 149 programs and projects, 60 percent were on-going, 31 percent were continuously implementing, 6 were completed, 3 percent were proposed. Most of the programs and projects aimed to reduce population of men, women and children in all ages living in poverty (26%). Among the 23 municipalities and cities, General Trias had the highest budget for programs and projects amounting to P253,010,614 while has the least budget amounting only to P410,000. Funding for the programs and projects of the municipalities and cities in Cavite were sourced from Local Government Unit (64%0, National fund (23%), Department of Social Welfare and Development (5%), Disaster Risk Reduction Management (2%). The most common needs in implementing the programs and projects were sufficient funds, manpower, location and equipment while most common benefits of the programs and projects were additional income/provides employment, medical support, disaster reduction and environmental benefits.
