This study was conducted to: determine the socio-economic characteristics of organic vegetable farmers; determine the characteristics of the organic vegetable farm in the selected municipalities; evaluate the operational efficiency of the selected organic vegetable farms in Cavite in terms of its production activities; determine the profitability of the organic vegetable production from the selected municipalities of Cavite; determine if the organic methods significantly affect the profitability and efficiency of the farm; determine the significant relationship between farm characteristics and profitability and efficiency Of the farm; determine if there is significant relationship between the organic methods used in farming in the profitability and efficiency of the farm; and determine the common problems encountered by the farms that adopts organic farming. The study was conducted in the selected municipalities of Cavite, particularly in the municipalities of Alfonso, Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo (Bailen), Indang, Magallanes, and Maragondon. Data were obtained from seventy-five farmers interviewed. Descriptive statistical tools such as frequency, range, and percentage were used to present and analyze the data. The average farm size tilled by the organic vegetable farmers was 2 hectares. The net profit margin ratio of organic vegetable farms is 58 percent. The overall gross profit margin ratio of organic vegetable farms is 88 percent. The total return on investment ratio of organic vegetable farms is 40 percent. The computed operating profit margin of organic vegetable production was 65 percent. The most common vegetable grown organically by vegetable farmers in selected municipalities of Cavite was string beans. The most cited reason of the participants for adopting the organic farming practices was because organic vegetables is good for the health.
