Abstract: MONTON, JUNALD C. and SALISE, PETER FRANCIS N. Design, Construction and Application of Bedini Principled Vertical Axis Wind Generating System. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Cavite State versity, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Engr. Efren R. Rocillo. The study was conducted from September 2018 to April 2019 at Cavite State versity, Indang, Cavite to design, construct and apply Bedini principled on vertical axis d generating system for Cavite State University (CvSU), Indang, Cavite. Specifically, study aimed to: (1) design and construct of vertical-axis wind blade base from previous study; (2) design and construct a permanent magnet motor suitable for the wind generating system; (3) test and evaluate the permanent magnet motor; (4) construct and install a wind generating system; (5) test and evaluate efficiency of the system's output through power nit; and (6) conduct cost benefit analysis. The study covered the design and construction of wind turbine blade based from previous study that has been conducted in CvSU, Indang, Cavite and the design and construction of Bedini principled generator which primarily in accordance with the law of electromagnetic induction suitable for the wind generating system. The project was installed and evaluated at the roof deck of Engineering Science building in CvSU, Indang,Cavite. The parameters such as wind speed, rpm of the rotor, voltage in AC and DC, current in AC and DC also, power output and efficiency were measured. It was found out the bedini principled vertical axis wind generating system was suited for the university for it has low starting wind speed, 1.2 m/s. The results of the evaluation showed the power output and efficiency of the system in different wind speeds. Based on the results of the study, the researchers highly recommend to the other researchers to focus their interest on the development of renewable sources of energy which sooner or later help the economy of country. The total cost of the study amounted
