Abstract: EMELO,ROSELY D. and MENDOZA,MARY ROSE C,. Assessment of Groundwater Quality in the Coastal Area of Rosario and Noveleta, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Dr. David L. Cero. The study was conducted in the coastal strips of Rosario and Noveleta, Cavite from October 2016 to March 2017. Specifically, it aimed to: determine water salinity, electric conductivity, total dissolve solids (TDS), temperature and pH; analyze the effect of temporal variations of the selected water parameters; and determine the presence of saltwater intrusion in the coastal area of Noveleta and Rosario, Cavite. Actual field observations, informal interviews, and recording of significant environmental data present around the sampling wells were gathered to support the claims of the study. The results of the study were based on the data gathered from 44 pumps at Rosario and 15 pumps at Noveleta, Cavite. Significant findings in the salinity content in Rosario out of 44 pumps, 15 pumps were safe, 28 were moderate and 1 pump got the highest salinity content it is in Wawa 11 (3). While in Noveleta out of 15 pumps, 6 pumps were safe and 9 were moderate. The contaminants indicated that it is not safe to drinking.
