Abstract: A study was conducted to present the viability and feasibility of producing ethylene adsorbent from potassium permanganate and rice hull ash. The company, named FRUITCARE, will be established to engaged in the production and manufacturing of high quality ethylene adsorbent from potassium permanganate and rice hull ash. The product named is ethylene adsorbent and to be established in 2008. The main office and plant will be located in Indang, Cavite. Probable risk, including the socio economic desirability and the peso contribution of the project on the target exporters and community to which the project will be located, is given consideration. Specifically this study covered the aspect on the marketing, management and organization, technical and financial. Fruitcare is composed of the following raw materials, rice hull ash and potassium permanganate. The finished product will packed in the sachet. The marketing aspect includes the introduction of the product. Ethylene Adsorbent. The product is new to the market because it uses a special raw materials. Based on the analysis, the demand and supply situation of the product had an opportunity to enter the market. There are no manufacturers of ethylene adsorbent in the Philippines. The technical aspect presents the machineries and equipment to be used, such as mixing tank, batch drier, and form fill seal machine, water tank hanging the dissolving tank, crane and weighing scale. Included also in the topic the processes of ethylene adsorbent production. The plant schedule of the company also included. On the management aspect, FRUITCARE will operate as sole proprietorship. It has a complete control and decision making power over the business and has no corporate tax payments and minimal legal cost in forming the business. Included in this topic are the number of manpower requirements and their jobs specification.
