Abstract: PANTIA, HELEN GRACE O. Soup Bowl Express. Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Economics. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2003. Adviser: Ms. Ma. Judith V. Buena. A four-month enterprise development project was conducted at the vicinity of the College of Economics, Management and Development Studies, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from October 30, 2002 to March 7, 2003. The project aimed to determine the profitability of operating a food service business, determine and apply different marketing and production practices, and identify the problems encountered during the conduct of the business operation and recommend feasible solutions to the identified problems. The project covered all the functional areas of management such as organization, production, marketing and finance. The activities and operation of these functional areas were performed solely by the author under a sole proprietorship type of ownership and organization. Through this project, the student’s capabilities in business management, social relation, decision-making and business strategies were developed. Data and other information pertaining to the entrepreneurial project were gathered through actual operation and observation. One of the major problems of the entrepreneur was low sale every afternoon. The proponent received more sales in the morning and seldom in the aftemoon. Consequently, the spoilage of food produced during the day was experienced.
