Descriptive and correlational designs were used as the research designs and simple random sampling was used as the sampling technique for the study. The participants were 204 hairstyling business owners in selected 5 cities in Cavite. Mean, standard deviation, frequency count, percentage, and ranking were used to analyze the gathered data; T-test was utilized to determine the significant difference. Based on the results, most of the hairstyling business owners were typical Filipino business owners, either female or male, middle-aged, single, has children and has formal education. Most have completed their secondary and tertiary level, proving the emphasis and value given to education by Filipinos. The study also showed not much significant difference between the individual characteristics of female and male hairstyling business owners. It was found out that they differ in terms of their educational background, number of employees, and between the problems encountered in the business. The study revealed that both men and women are hands-on in their business, in terms of their income, land and labor. Further, for both male and female in terms of gender analysis, there were no significant difference between access to and control over resources and patterns of financial decision making. This implies that both male and female owners of hairstyling business owners are both dedicated and effective in handling and improving their businesses.
