This study explored qualitatively and quantitatively to assess the implementation of NSTP of the university. This surveyed NSTP and facilitators from Don Severino de las Alas campus and satellite campuses located in Rosario, Naic, Imus, Carmona, and Cavite City from November 2005 to February 2006. The study (1) described the different components (2) determined of the respondents including their perceptions on the conduct and strategies adopted in the implementation of the program and (3) determined the problems encountered and the solutions and their policy implications.
The implementation of NSTP is one of the best moves in creating a balanced in its curricular offerings. This contributes in the attainment of quality as a vehicle for the promotion of cooperation which eventually redound to the socio-economic improvement of the community and the nation as whole. With the recent campaign for nationalism, the program inculcates the moral values of the students through actual involvement in community development. This likewise enhances the human development and ascertains the value of social welfare and responsibility.
