Abstract: CANSINO, RODALYN S. and LIMBO, VERLYN B. Profile of Agri-tourism Sites in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Ms. Lina C. Abogadie. A study was conducted to determine the profile of Agri-tourism in sites in Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to describe the agri-tourism sites, identify the locations of the agri-tourism sites, products and services offered, the number of years of operation, number of personnel hired, the total land area of operation, and the problems encountered by the agri-tourism sites, and recommended feasible solutions. The study was conducted in the seven towns of Cavite, namely: Silang, Amadeo, Alfonso, Indang, Mendez, Dasmarihas and Tagaytay City where most of the agri-tourism sites are located. Data was collected through personal interview ith the 30 participants with the aid of the prepared questionnaires. The study revealed that participants are engaged in business ranging from 1-29 years with an average of ten years. The total land area ranged from 0.15 hectares to 19 hectares; the number of full time workers hired by the respondents ranged from 2-120 with an average of 10 workers, while the part time workers hired by the respondents ranged from 1-78 with an average of 17 workers. The products and services commonly offered include vegetables, beverages, meat products, and pasta/pizza/pastries. For non- food offerings, these include interactive facilities like demo tour, animal feeding, fishing, ground adventure, air adventure, and water adventure (river trekking). Facilities like lodging (cottages/pavilions), camping site/bonfire grounds, swimming pool/jacuzzi, rides ( ATV, zipline), slides ( mud, twist and turn bubble), workshop venues, sports and souvenir shops are also offered. The most common problems encountered by the respondents were seasonal demand, stiff competition, accessibility of the place, natural disasters like typhoons, limited budget for expansion, occurrence of pest and diseases in most farms.
