Abstract: FEROL, ROSELYN F, MARKETING STRATEGIES OF INDUSTRIAL GALVANIZERS CORPORATION OF THE PHILIPPINES. Undergraduate Case Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2017. Adviser: Ms. Mary Grace Ilagan. The study was conducted from March 2, 2017 to April 12, 2017 in Industrial Galvanizers Corporation of the Philippines, Brgy. Conchu, Trece Martires City, Cavite. The primary aim of the study is to: identify the products and service offered by the firm; describe the existing marketing strategies, analyzed the marketing strategies of the firm using SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis; identify the problems encountered by the firm, and providing possible solutions to the problems. Two approaches were used to obtain the needed information. The first approach is through personal interviews with the sales coordinator, admin officers, and accounting staffs. The second is through observations of different operations involved. In addition to that, several information were obtained from the documenting files of the firm. Descriptive method were used to describe the components and processing involved. The firm is a division of Valmont USA, an international firm leading in galvanizing and pole manufacturing. Industrial Galvanizers Corporation caters steel pole manufacturing (EPBZ) and hot-dip galvanizing service (GABZ). The firm is capable of designing and manufacturing wide range of world- class steel pole and tower structures of power transmission from 69- KV to 230- KV and ultra-high voltage (UHV) applications, power distributions, telecommunications, stadium lightings, flood lightings, street lightings, wind turbines. The hot-dip galvanizing plant of INGAL has the biggest galvanizing bath in the Philippines capable of galvanizing up to 18 meters long on double dip. The zinc bath size is 12.5 x 1.8 x 2.6 meters and lifting capacity of 6.4 metric tons Compared to other products, a different approach is consider in pricing steel poles product. Several process must be consider before coming up a price for each poles. The process starts from inquiry handing, designing, estimating, bidding and negotiation, and order processing. Galvanizing business on the other hand, depends its price on how much the recent cost of zinc in the market and how many zinc are applied to the item. Zinc is a substance applied to metal to prevent it from corroding, metals can last for 20 to 30 years if galvanized in zinc bath. INGAL joins several exhibit such as PhilConstruct and !ITE Expo to promote the steel poles and hot-dip galvanizing service. The use of social media such as Facebook page, helps the firm to broaden the promotion of their products and services. Plant visits for potential customers is one of there strategy to gain clients and build a much stronger image in the industry. Distribution of products are through delivery, the items that has to be galvanized are often delivered to them by the customers and picked it up, mostly, customers has their own truck. The firm also provide delivery trucks, an additional 20 percent charge for a one-way trip within NCR and CALABARZON. The firm is analyzed using the Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats or SWOT Analysis. It shows the edge of the firm against its competitors and the weaknesses they also have.
