Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2010. Adviser: Prof. Myrachael S. Nolasco. A three-month burger snack business was conducted to develop the student capability to handle a business through experiential learning, determine the profitability of burger business, identify the problems encountered in operating the business, and recommend feasible solutions to the various problems encountered. The initial capital of the enterprise was PHP30,000.00, which was equally contributed by the entrepreneurs. The enterprise was involved in the production and marketing of the snack food items such as burgers, fries, popcorn, bottled drinks and packed juice. The production activities such as preparation of raw materials, actual cooking and packaging of the products were the tasks that the entrepreneurs did during the operation. In marketing the burger products, there were factors considered such as product, price, place and promotion. The location of the business was inside the Cavite State University at the side of College of Economics Management Development Studies buildim The project was called -Tara! H Let's Eat". The operation was done during school days from Monday through Saturday. Cheese burger, French fries and popcorn were the most saleable products of the enterprise. The project generated a net profit margin of 26.33 percent during three-month operation. Return on investment was 84.41 percent. In the actual operation of a burger business a problem encountered was lack of planning which resulted in the shortage of raw materials. The four-day class week of the university also posed a problem as sales could have increased if additional days had been added. The project helped and trained the students to gain a broader range of knowledge and experience necessary for the management of their future business. Operation of the burger business inside the Cavite State University main campus proves to be profitable. Its strategic location seems to be the main factor that contributed to the profitability of the business
