Abstract: VINZON, MELLO ROSE GRACE. Asia Paper Industrial Corporation. Trece Martires City, Cavite. Undergraduate Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing. Cavite State University. April 2007. Adviser: Mrs. Myrachael S. Nolasco. The field study was conducted at Asia Paper Industrial Corporation from November 20, 2006 to January 26, 2007. This study aimed to describe the organization and management of the company; describe the operation of the company and identify the problems encountered and recommend solutions to the problems identified. This study disclosed the different aspects of the plant which main concern is to produce rolls of papers using recycled waste papers. These are Ag White Bond„ Ap Book, Bristol, Colored Bond and Colored Bristol. The finished products were forwarded to NAPPCO Malinta. The company adopted a line and staff organizational structure. The highest governing body of the company is the President, followed by the Vice- President and the Plant Manager, under the Plant Manager are the five supervisors. The hiring process covers sourcing of applicants, screening, testing/examination, interview, medical examination, hiring and orientation. Applicants can be from internal and external sources depending upon the requirements or qualifications needed for the vacant position. The company has existing management policies on proper attendance and hours of work. Benefits and incentives, such as: uniform, incentive, 13th month pay, sick/vacation leave, certificate and cash reward, school supplies, loans, health card services, free meal, maternity leave, and other incentives were also given by the company to encourage employees to work hard and devote time in their work The company usually suffered problems on inadequate skills of personnel in each department which usually resulted in the delay of works. Faulty machineries for the production of high quality papers which slowed down the smooth flow of company's operation; and environmental issue on how to dispose the chemicals used in paper production. The most common activities performed were clerical works, including filing, sending fax, printing and encoding which were found to be not directly related to the field of specialization of the trainee.
