Abstract: MANALO, REGALADO, TUAZON. "Retailing of Ready to Wear Clothes". Bachelor of Science in Business Management, DSAC, April, 1997. Adviser: Mrs. Nelia E. Feranil. This enterprise development project was conducted from October 26, 1996 to February 15,1997. This was undertaken to provide the students with adequate entrepreneurial skills, particularly in retailing of ready to wear clothes, in preparation to becoming self-made entrepreneurs after graduation. Specifically, it aimed to establish a ready to wear clothes retailing project which will be expanded to become the source of income for the students after graduation; apply the theories and practices gained in classroom discussion to real life working situations through enterprise development; determine the profitability of the ready to wear clothes retailing; and be familiar with the common problems and come up with possible solutions or approaches in solving such problems. The study focused only on the operation of the project. Data were based from the records of the project. The information in this report covered only the data gathered for the three and a half month period of operation. Based on the income statement of the project, it was learned that the enterprise generated a net income of P11.906.40. This amount was enough to pay 88.88 percent of the enterprise total liabilities. After evaluating the project, it was found out that the problem encountered in operating the project was the failure to meet all the orders made by the customers. It is also found that the enterprise has suffered from opportunity loss. To avoid cancellation of orders and opportunity loss, the enterprise should always provide stocks for the most demanded products. It is also recommended that the enterprise widens its target market to other barrios wherein direct selling has potential. To suffice the enterprise problem regarding time constraint, it is recommended that the delivery of merchandise be done during nighttime and the purchase of merchandise be done during Sundays were stores are usually closed.
