Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2004. Adviser: Ms. Cristina R. Del Mundo. A field study was conducted on Mega Gem Wiring Systems, Inc. which is located in Lot 11, Block 4, Phase 2, Cavite Export Processing Zone, Rosario, Cavite. The study was conducted to acquaint and expose the student with the existing management practices, policies, and procedures of the company, describe the organization and management, production and marketing activities and determine the problems encountered by the firm. The data used in the study were gathered from the files and records of the company. Other pieces of information were obtained through personal interviews with the management staff. Some information was gathered from the Cavite State University Library and through the use of the internet. Mega Gem Wiring Systems, Inc. manufactures wiring harnesses of electrical appliances and electronic equipment for the following products such as home appliances, electronics, telecommunications, business machines, and cars/automotives. Some problems encountered by the company were meeting the customer-required specifications. There were times that the company’s product did not fit or meet the customers’ requirements. The trainee was assigned at the Production and Engineering Department where she performed clerical works such as filing of documents, helping in labeling the finished products and answering telephone calls.
