Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. June 2018. Thesis Adviser: Alyssa R. Eseque, RPm. This study was conducted with the general objective of determining the level of social oppression, self-compassion, and life satisfaction of selected gays in Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to determine (1) the level of social oppression of gays; (2) the level of self-compassion of gays; (3) the life satisfaction level of gays; (4) the relationship of social oppression and self-compassion of gays; (5) the relationship of social oppression and life satisfaction of gays; and (6) the relationship of self-compassion and life satisfaction of gays. The study was conducted from January to March 2018. Descriptive correlational design was used in the study. Different LGBT and gay organizations in Cavite were chosen as participants. The results revealed that the participants have a high level of social oppression, moderate or average level of self-compassion and life satisfaction. It also shows that social oppression and self-compassion are not significantly related but has an inverse relationship. It was also found that social oppression and life satisfaction are significant. related and has a linear relationship. This means that as the gay feel more oppressed, the more he became satisfied with his life. Moreover, there is a significant relationship
