Abstract: The study, "Response of peperomia Leaf Cuttings to Indole Butyric Acid" was conducted in Indang, Cavite from November, 1980 to February, 1981. The experiment was performed to determine the effect of Indole Butyric Acid on rooting peperomia and to know which of the concentrations of Indole Butyric Acid is the most effective in rooting the cuttings. The bases of leaf cuttings were dipped in powderly prepared Indole Butyric Acid with the concentrations of 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm and 200 ppm. The leaf cuttings were planted in medium placed in the pots. peperomia leaf cuttings treated with 150 ppm IBA exhibited a remarkable growth of roots as compared with other leaf cuttings treated with 50 ppm, 100 ppm, and 200 ppm of Indole Butyric Acid that was in powder form. Leaf cuttings of peperomia treated with Indole Butyric Acid showed a delay in shoot formation but produced more number of shoots per cutting.
