The purpose of this study was to determine the demographic characteristics of student in Bendita National High School, their respective physical activities and the academic performance. A survey questionnaire was used to gather data to determine how significantly physical activities affect them especially if grouped according to demographic characteristics.
Descriptive research design was utilized in this study. A total of two hundred seventy student enrolled for the school year 2018 - 2019 served as the respondent of the study. A survey instrument was used to gather data from participants to identify their participation level in physical activities and academic performance by rating each to a range of one (1) meaning that student "disagree/very low participation" to four (4) which is "strongly agree/very high participation". Data obtained was tallied and organized into frequency distribution tables. Frequency counts, means, percentage and standard deviation were determined and interpreted to resolve the first and second research issues which were presented descriptively.
Result showed that the overall physical activities for 270 student participants has mean value of 2.8116 which is a "agree/high participation" and that there was a significant relationship in the grade level on the physical activities of the student when grouped according to demographic characteristics. For the academic performance, it showed a overall result for 270 student participants a mean value of 2.7085 which is "agree/high performance" and that there was significant difference in age, grade level and grade point average on the academic performance of the student when grouped according to demographic characteristics.
