Abstract: BAGO, ANGELICA D., COLADA, ERIKA LEI D. AND MOJICA, JOHN ROMEL M. Propagation of Lanzones (Lansium domesticum) Using Different Types of Stem Cuttings Treated with 200 ppm Indole Butyric Acid. A Research Study. Science High School, College of Education, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2013. Adviser: Dr. Celso S. Crucido. This study entitled "Propagation of Lanzones (Lansium domesticum) Using Different Types of Stem Cuttings Treated With 200ppm Indole Butyric Acid" was conducted at Cavite State University — College of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources (CAFENR) Nursery from November 2012 to January 2013. The primary objective of the study was to propagate Lanzones (Lansium domesticum) using different types of stem cuttings treated with 200ppm concentration of Indole Butyric Acid. The different types of stem cuttings include Treatment 1 — softwood cutting, Treatment 2 — semi-hardwood cutting, and Treatment 3 — hardwood cutting. The experiment was arranged following Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three different types of stem cuttings and four replications. Number of shoots, length of shoots, and percentage survival were the parameters used as objectives of the study. The gathered data was subjected to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Comparison among treatments was analyzed using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) whenever statistical differences are suggested in ANOVA. The results of the study showed that in terms of shoot emergence, Treatment 1 achieved the highest result while Treatment 3 got the lowest result. In terms of shoot length, Treatment 1 also achieved the highest result while Treatment 3 got the lowest result. And lastly, in terms of percentage survival, Treatment 1 achieved the highest result while Treatment 3 got the lowest result. Based on the results of the study, the researchers conclude that the softwood cutting can be best use to propagate lanzones.
