Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite December 2018. Adviser: Ana Ruth M. Andalajao, This study aimed to determine the levels of awareness of the students in Cavite State University. Specifically, what are their perception to the sanction and self-regulation of the students regarding to the policy of Garbage In Garbage Out and does the awareness and perception to the sanction have a relationship to their self-regulation. The researchers used descriptive-correlational research design. The participants were 1,989 students that should experience having trash bin and having none because of the implementation of Garbage In Garbage Out Policy. The participants should be 2nd year to 5th year students of Cavite State University, while the first-year students and transferees are not included. Furthermore, the sampling technique used was stratified random sampling. For the data gathered by the researchers it was validated and reliable self-made questionnaire for awareness and perception while for the self-regulation the questionnaire was adapted. The result of the study showed that the students in Cavite State University have scored high awareness, average perception and average self-regulation. For the correlation, the researchers concluded that there is a significant relationship between awareness, perception and self -regulation of the students with regards with garbage in garbage out policy.
