Gender-based violence remains one of the most prevalent and persistent issues facing
women and girls globally. The study was conducted to measure the effectiveness of intervention
programs for developing and strategizing the approaches and programs provided for gender-
based violence. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the intervention program
implemented for the victims of gender-based violence; identify the effectiveness of the
intervention programs for the victims of gender-based violence, and to recognize the different
agencies that implement the intervention programs. The study used a qualitative design,
narrative research design, which entailed responses about the services, approaches, and
programs of the government organization, PNP and Barangay VAWC Desk in Gen. Trias,
Cavite. Employing the purposive sampling technique, there was a total of 1 1 participants
including, one from PNP Women's Desk, five VAW Desk officer and five victims of gender-based
violence in General Trias Cavite.
From the data gathered, it was revealed that the PNP Women's Desk are providing well-
implemented programs in preventing domestic violence. The Barangay
VAW Desks are active in assisting the victims of gender-based violence. The 18-Day Campaign
and Dialogue Campaign intended for information dissemination among gender-based violence
victims are employed in order to prevent violence against
