Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in<br/>Criminology. College of Criminal Justice. Cavite State University. lndang Cavite. June<br/>2019. Adviser: Prof. Alexis R. Alcantara.<br/>The study was conducted to determine the demographic profile of the participants.<br/>determine their educational background. ascertain their employment data. assess the<br/>suggestions of the participants to improve the course curriculum and further assess the level of<br/>job performance of employed criminology graduates as perceived by their manager/direct<br/>supervisor. Descriptive research design was used in the study. Survey questionnaire adopted<br/>from the Commission on Higher Education dubbed as Graduate Tracer Survey tool created to<br/>google forms was used to gather the essential data Findings showed that most of the graduates<br/>were 21 to 23 years old. Majority of them were female and 128 of the graduates were single.<br/>Furthermore. results revealed that 124 (80.5%) are employed and 28 (18.2) are still seeking or<br/>applying for a job and there are 2 (1.3%) still never employed the majority of unemployed<br/>graduates reason out there health related reasons and lack of job opportunity.<br/>The reasons of pursuing their training or advance studies is due to professional<br/>development and they usually stayed on their first job for one year less than two years after<br/>graduation and received a salary of 10,000 to 15,000 pesos a month. Eighty five from them<br/>were regular or permanent employees and majority of their jobs were related to their field. In<br/>terms of competencies learned. communication skills got the highest percentages which are<br/>considered to be very useful in the work of the participants. Their suggestions to improve the<br/>course curriculum include: conduct of more career-oriented trainings and workshops with<br/>personality development as preparation for their careers after graduation. Likewise, with regards<br/>to their job level performance as perceived by their manager/direct supervisor, the employed<br/>participants met and often exceeded job requirements. Furthermore, this study recommends to<br/>provide more hands on trainings and v orkshops that can enhance the competency of every<br/>graduate. To continuousk monitor the graduates. Thus this may be done to all programs olTered<br/>b% the College and create an own Graduate Tracer Survey Tool that will lit for the College of<br/>Criminal Justice Graduates. |
