Adviser: Ms. Lady Aileen Orsal The study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the construction of political image and communication strategies used by selected campaign managers in Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to determine the communication strategies used to promote the political image portrayed by selected mayors in Cavite, the factors affecting the selected campaign managers of Cavite in constructing political image of the selected mayors in Cavite during the 2016 election, and the factors affecting the design of communication strategies used by selected campaign managers in Cavite. The study was conducted from December 2016 to March 2017 in different cities and municipalities of Cavite. Purposive sampling was used in choosing the respondents. The researchers conducted a persortal interview for data gathering. The result of the study showed that the respondents used the following communication strategies in promoting the political image of the candidate; jingles, tarpaulin/flyers, public speaking, house to house campaign, social media, caucus meeting, motorcade, visitation of NGO'S, local groups and selected families and meeting de avance. Also, presented in the study that the track records of the candidate and his personality are the factors affecting the construction of their political image. Lastly, factors affecting the construction of communication strategies used by selected campaign managers were also presented. For jingles, the message, content, lyrics, tone and duration were consider. For tarpaulin and flyers, message, font style, color and image were the factors consider. For public speaking and speeches, it was the message, audiences, location and duration that affect the construction of communication strategies by selected campaign managers in Cavite.
