The purpose of the study was to identify the Family Communication Pattern
among the OFW families that were member of OFW Daine I and Il Association in Barangay Daine I and Il in Indang, Cavite. Thus, communication pattern was determined using the revised communication pattern instrument (modified).
The study was conducted January 2017 to February 2017 in Daine, Indang, Cavite. A 23-item questionnaire was completed by 121 participants from OF W Daine I
and Il Association.
Based on the results majority of the participants used cellphones as them
communication tool with their loved ones abroad. OFW families in Barangay Daine I and Il used the social media application Facebook messenger to communicate everyday with
their OFW family member abroad.
Majority of the participants of W Daine I and Il Association had consensual family type. Therefore, the participants had high level of conformity and conversation
orientation. The family members tend to talk about the problems, and they would resolve
it altogether. But in the end, the parents would be followed by the children.
