Abstract: ACOSTA, FAOLA MAE A., BARAQUIA, JESSAMY ANN C., GARCIA, JOANE JOYCE A., Gender role stress, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and parenting style of the househusbands in selected urban areas of Cavite. Undergraduate thesis Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Cavite State University, April 2017. Adviser: Armi Grace B. Desinganio MAEd, RPm, LPT. The study determined the gender role stress, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and parenting style of the househusbands in selected urban areas of Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to enumerate the parenting style of househusbands; determine if there is a significant relationship between gender role stress level and self-efficacy, gender role stress level and self-esteem level, and gender role stress level to parenting style. Descriptive-correlational research design was used in the study. One hundred nine (109) househusbands participated in the study. The results revealed that the househusbands are experiencing an average level in terms of gender role stress, they were high in self-esteem and self-efficacy and the most prominent parenting style was authoritative. Test of relationship revealed that the gender role stress and self-esteem has a significant relationship while gender role stress and self-efficacy of the participants has no significant relationship. On the Other hand, the parenting style authoritative and authoritarian has a significant relationship with gender role stress while both permissive and uninvolved has no significant relationship with gender role stress.
