Abstract: CHAVEZ, NATHANIEL R., LOLONG, MICHAEL RYAN A. Development of Solar Powered Lighting System for DAFE Utilization. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Industrial Technology, major in Electrical Technology Cavite Slate C University, Indang, Cavite. April 2018. Adviser: Garry M. Cahibaybayan. The study was conducted to lighten up the entire DATE area which is one of the dark area in the university. The Development of Solar Powered Lighting System was tested and evaluated in terms of safety and durability, can help the students taking Electrical Technology. The solar powered lighting system was composed of solar panel, charge controller, photocell, battery, wires, inverter, motion sensors and led bulb. The solar panel connected in charge controller to charge the battery and the battery is connected to photocell which serves as a main switch of the project, photocell is connected to the inverter which converts DC to AC load. This study aimed to lighten up the entire area. Through testing, it was conducted before it was subjected to final evaluation. The result of the study showed an efficient and outstanding feedback on different Industrial Technology student. It was done to further determine the capability and how long can last the lighting system to operate. The good outcome led to subject the design for evaluation. The study satisfied all the objectives and therefore confirmed that it was conducted. However, there were some recommendations to further determine the performance of the device.
