Abstract: AURE, NICKA JOY U. Training and Development Programs of Leslie's Restaurant. An Undergraduate Case Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University. December 2017. Adviser: Dr. Elizabeth E Polinga. The case study was conducted at Leslie's Restaurant Human Resource Department Aguinaldo Highway, Silang Crossing West, Tagaytay City Philippines from September 4 to October 10, 2017. The study focused mainly on the training programs of Leslie's Restaurant and the perception of employees towards the implementation of the training programs. Specifically, it aimed to describe the profile of the company; identify the training and development programs used in Leslie's Restaurant, analyze the training and development programs conducted using SWOT analysis; to know the perception of the employees towards the implementation of training and development programs; and identify the problems encountered in the implementation of training and development programs and recommend solutions. The study was conducted to know the importance of training and development programs in the company and to provide solution to problem that Leslie's Restaurant is encountering during the training programs. Data and information about the firm were collected through personal interviews and observations with Ms Connie S. Sytiao the Human Resource Manager and Mr Arlan Obillos the Captain Waiter. Observations with Leslie's Restaurant employees were used by the researcher. Manager is assigned to measure the perception of employees towards the training programs, to determine the problems encountered in the implementation of training and development programs and what are the solutions they are recommending. The answered evaluation forms of the employees were given to the Human Resource Department and the result of each evaluation determined the perception of the employees towards the conducted training and development programs. The author used descriptive method of analysis to discuss the profile of the company, training process, and the problem encountered by Leslie's Restaurant in conducting the training and development programs. The author knew that Leslie's Restaurant has a training process. These are; (a) assessing the training needs (b) planning for training (c) carrying out the training (d) evaluating the training. There are seven types of trainings that may help their employees to learn new things for their work. These are; sequence of service, proper handling of guests and personality development, quality, quantity and food safety training, cleanliness and sanitary training, familiarization of dining and kitchen, training on how to handle guests complaints and fire and earthquake drill. After the trainings employees are well informed and familiar on their assigned tasks.
