Abstract: ALEGRE, DEVINE CLARE D., DO A, ANGEL MAY, LIM, JASPHER JAY V., SCENTIMENTS. Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Ms. Maurrin DR. Madrid. A four-month enterprise development project was conducted from January 21, 2019 to April 19, 2019. The project aimed to offer an innovative form of an oil-based perfume in the market; determine the profitability of an oil-based perfume making business; and analyse and apply necessary solutions to the problems encountered during the operation of the business. The project covered the different areas of management such as production, marketing and finance. The project was conducted as a partnership type of business among three owners. All the activities and operations were performed by them. Because of this project, the student's capabilities in business management, problem solving, marketing strategies and social relationship were developed and improved. The business offered perfume in different scents and were available in roll-on type bottle and spray-type bottle. The available scents for women were Seductive, Ecstatic, Sassy and Serene while the scents for men were Valiant, Fiery, Arctic and Allure. Products were displayed and packaged in an attractive way. All perfumes were placed in eye-catching boxes. There are a lot of perfume businesses in the market and in order to be successful in running a business, two of the best marketing strategies are recommended by the owners such as personal selling and dealership. Selling of the products was done by the owners and the 24 dealers. The dealers were composed of 17 student dealers from Cavite State University and 7 non-student dealers. In the four-month operation of the business, the total sales amounted to P75, 672.00 while the net income earned was worth P21, 366.30. The business total asset and total owner's equity was P51,366.30. One of the major problems encountered during the operation was the roll-on bottles that did not function very well. Some of the produced roll-on bottles had also leaked, the reason why few dealers returned some of the given items because of the roll malfunctioning. To solve the problem, the owners approached the contact personnel to assist them in finding the best bottles they could offer before the owners purchased and used the said material for the production. Offering dealership was a finesse strategy for the business to reach its target sales. Producing spray-type perfume, offering discounts and having different effective promotions were the excellent strategies to introduce the product in the market.
