Abstract: DATAY, MA. GERLEY ALA. "SCA Hygiene Products Corporation, First Cavite Industrial Estate, Dasmarinas, Cavite". An Undergraduate Field Study, Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Economics. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2001, Adviser: Mr. Roderick M. Rupido. A four- month field study was conducted to enable the trainee to apply her knowledge learned from the classroom to actual business operations and to describe the operations of the firm in terms of production of the firms products which involve the production process of diaper and tissue paper, marketing of the said products through distribution channels from manufacturer to end user and organization and management which explains the SCA Hygiene Products ownership and business composition, in addition, the study aimed to identify problems by the firms and discuss the activities performed in the firm during the conduct of the field study. The firm is a corporate type of business organization wholly owned subsidiary of SCA Hygiene Products Corporation. It is a well and organized corporation. The plant lay-out is conducive to high productivity and boast SCA's competitive edge in terms of product quality and cost efficiency. The company manufactures paper products such as bathroom tissue, facial tissue, table napkins, disposable towels, wrapping paper, onion skin, and associable diaper. Primary data were obtained through personal interviews and questionnaires with the employees of the firm. Relevant information was also gathered from the company's records and files. The management did not encounter many problems with the employees due to the positive perspective and good relationship practiced by the company. It provided a sound and effective mission for motivation, optimism and willingness to serve the people.
