New learning modes were introduced due to the existence of the pandemic to continue the delivery of education. Thus, the researcher develops to study the two different modes of learning that are implemented nowadays, the modular approach and flexible online learning. The study sought to compare two different approaches in preparation for licensure examination among College of Nursing students, particularly BS Nursing and BS Medical Technologies in Cavite State University, Main campus. Moreover, the study would like to identify if there is a significant difference between the modular approach and flexible online learning in preparation for the licensure examination.
The study employed a comparative research design—a total of 49 respondents accumulated using the multistage stratified sampling method.
Concerning profile, of course, there are 30 (61.22%) from BS Nursing and 19 (38.78%) from BS Medical Technology. A frequency distribution table was utilized to identify the participant's demographic profile. Moreover, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test was employed to compare the two learning modes. The study findings exhibit no significant difference between the modular approach and flexible online learning preparation for the licensure examination. Furthermore, regarding the significant difference between the modular approach when grouped according to the respondent's profile, the result explained that the age, sex, academic year, and group course have no significant difference. However, regarding the significant difference between the flexible online learning when grouped according to the respondent's sex, explained that there is a significant different.
