Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2008. Adviser: Prof. Fe N. Dimero. The 460-hour plant practice was conducted at Purebev International Corporation located at Km.42, Brgy. Hugo Perez Trece Martirez City, Cavite. As a trainee with background in food technology, she was assigned at the Quality Assurance Central Laboratory and Recombination Area. The plant practice provided knowledge to student trainee on quality assurance of cold aseptic technology products. It also gave an overview on how the product is being processed. It also provided the trainee a hands-on experience in conducting different analyses to assure product quality. The student trainee learned many importance technical skills during her plant practice. She gained proper working attitude and social development through interaction with other people. The student trainee performed raw materials inspection. She practiced lot monitoring, batch monitoring, standardization, buffer tank monitoring, sterilization, finished product monitoring and CIP monitoring. In chemical analysis she performed physico — chemical, fat analysis and water alkalinity. She conducted total plate count determination, E. coli count determination and yeast and mold count determination in microbial analysis. The plant practice also provided her knowledge in evaluating package integrity test.
