Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Business Economics. Cavite State University, lndang, Cavite. October 2014. Adviser: Ms. Lina C. Abogadie. The case study was conducted to identify the social and environmental responsibilities of Café Amadeo Development Cooperative in Amadeo, Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to: identify the products offered by Café Amadeo Development Cooperative; determine the social and environmental responsibilities towards employees, customers, competitors, government, and community; analyze the social and environmental responsibilities of the cooperative using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis; determine the problems encountered; and recommend feasible solutions to the problems encountered by Café Amadeo Development Cooperative. Historical background of Café Amadeo Development Cooperative, products offered, organization and management, duties and responsibilities of Café Amadeo Development Cooperative staff, motivation and incentives, and other related topics like the benefits offered by the coffee products, the social and environmental responsibilities towards employees, customers, competitors, and community were gathered personally from the records of Café Amadeo Development Cooperative. The social and environmental responsibilities were identified based on the interviews with the manager and staff of Café Amadeo Development Cooperative and observations done by the author. The social responsibilities of the cooperative include generating employment, serving coffee products at affordable prices, public relations, customer-friendly environment, repainting of schools, and preserving and promoting social and cultural values. The environmental responsibilities of the cooperative were tree-planting activities and promoting the no-plastic policy in the Municipality of Amadeo. These responsibilities greatly affect the improvement and sustainability of the products as well as on the services provided by the cooperative. With much attention and efforts, the Coopertive, being an innovative type, can increase its sales and help promote the health benefits of coffee.
