Abstract: A farm practice in broiler production was conducted at Chavez Poultry Farm in Aguado, Trece Martires City, Cavite from November 14 to December 24, 1997 to gain entrepreneurial and managerial skill in actual broiler production. After the operation, a total of 2,415 birds was recovered out of 2,500 birds raised, with 3.4 percent mortality. The birds consumed a total of 8,850 kg of feeds or an average of 3.59 kg. A final average body weight of 1.7 kg was attained, giving a feed conversion efficiency of 2.11 kg per bird. The project had a total production cost of P 162,265.35 with total sales of P 189,728.00. A net income of P 27,472.65 was realized, resulting in 16.93 percent return on investment. The project encountered problems like lameness, stress due to disturbances while feeding, watering and vaccinating.
