Bachelor in Agriculture Entrepreneurship major in Crop Production. Cavite State University Indang, Cavite, June 2018. Adviser. Mr. Edgardo A. Gonzales. The project, "Snap beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) Barak variety production enterprise grown organically" was conducted at Cavite State University- Main Campus Indang, Cavite under the Office of Business Affairs Crop Production Area near at the Animal Science Building and College of Veterinary Medicine Building from January 2018 to April 2018. The project was conducted to apply management practices and different agricultural techniques in handling small business enterprise particularly the production of snap beans. It aimed to: gain actual experience in producing organic Barak variety Snap beans, determine the market demand of Barak variety Snap beans using organic materials, apply knowledge and obtain more knowledge gained in agriculture about organic production of Snap bean, and earn income from the Enterprise Development Project. The project involved planting of 720 snap bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) plants grown in an open area measuring 300 square meters following the recommended distance of 0.3 x 0.7 meters with two seeds per hole. Purchase of seeds and other needed materials and making of bio-fertilizers were performed during the pre-production activities. The main production activities done in snap bean production were cultivation, direct planting of seeds, watering, trellising, bio-fertilizer application, pest control, weeding, harvesting and marketing. Cleaning the area was started by removing woods and cultivating the land twice. Eighteen plots were established in the area. The application of bio- fertilizers was also done two weeks after germination of the seeds. Watering was done daily alter the seeds were sowed in the field. Harvesting was done twelve days after flowering and regular harvesting therefore with the interval of two to three days. Packaging was done on the field using plastic bags. The harvested snap beans were sold to the university faculty members, students, small karenderyas and at the Naic Public Market. The total cost of production of snap beans for the four months period amounted to P 17 507.00. The total gross income of the production and marketing of snap beans amounted P 19,750.00 hence, the project earned a net income of P 2,243.00. The project had a return on investment of 12.81 %.
