Abstract: DELA TORRE, NIKKI C. and DIMARANAN, RUFFA MAE V., Assessment of Socio-Economic Condition of Relocatees in Southville II, Phase III, Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, Cavite: Basis for Program Implementation. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, College of Arts and Sciences, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser Ms. Merlie C. Nahilat. This study was conducted at the relocation site in Southville 11, Phase III, Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, and Cavite from December 2017— February 2018. The general objective of the study is to induce a basis of a potential program for the economic development of Southville II, Phase III, Barangay Aguado in Trece Martires City, Cavite from the socio-economic condition of the relocatees. These are the following specific objectives that the researchers aimed to achieve: to determine the socio - demographic profile of relocatees in terms of their age, gender, educational attainment, place of origin, occupation, civil status and monthly income, to determine the monthly income of each household and if it is sufficient to their monthly expenses and to identify the assessment on the socio-economic condition of the relocatees in terms of their economic condition, house condition and peace and order situation. Quantitative method was used in this study wherein the researchers used cluster sampling technique. The participants were composed of 354 respondents from 20 percent of total population in every origin areas: Paranaque, Pasay, Makati, LGU Trece, LGU Tanza, Tondo, Taguig, Mandaluyong and GMA,Cavite. From the summary of the study, it reveals that the economic condition in Southville II, Phase III in Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, Cavite were generally in good condition, the housing condition is in very god condition and the peace and order situation is in very good condition. The overall result of the assessment in the socio economic condition of the relocatees in Southville 11, Phase III in Barangay Aguado, Trece Mat-tires City, Cavite is in very good condition. Based on the family income classification by the Philippine Statistical Authority that a household should have more than Php 10,000 monthly income whereas 59.89 percent of the respondents in the relocation site were below poverty line which they can only have the possibility to provide their basic needs like food, clothing and shelter. The researchers recommend a long- term training which will last for six (6) months for employed and unemployed relocatees. For the employed relocatees, researchers recommend enhancement skills training that will conduct twice a month for six (6) months. For the National Housing Authority and City Social Welfare and Development Office, the researchers recommend having their monthly monitoring to the relocation site in terms in their economic condition, peace and order situation. Particularly, in housing condition for the relocatees, for the upcoming construction of relocation sites, the distance must be considered. The resettlement area must be near the city for the resources that the family will need in case of emergency. It was suggested to have a health facility with regards to the health needs of community people. The researchers would like to develop the socio-economic condition of the relocatees by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities, availability of medical services and establish recreational program to assist the needs of children and youth.
