Adviser: Evelyn Del Mundo The study was conducted at the College of Nursing, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from December 2008 to March 2009 with the following objectives: to determine the demographic profile of the senior nursing students in terms of age and gender, to identify the academic achievement of senior nursing students, to know the emotional intelligence quotient of the respondents, to identify the relationship between the demographic profile and emotional intelligence quotient of the senior nursing students and to know the relationship between the academic achievement and emotional intelligence quotient among the respondents. The researchers used a descriptive- correlational method. They chose the senior nursing student to be the respondents of this study wherein each was given a questionnaire that would test the emotional intelligence quotient. Based on the results of this study, most of the respondents belonged to the age group of 20. The group was also a female dominated group. The respondents also got high scores on emotional intelligence test. There is no significant relationship between the age and gender, and emotional intelligence quotient. There is also no significant relationship between the academic achievement and emotional intelligence quotient.
