Bachelor Of Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Crop Production, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Analita dM. Magsino, PhD The project was established at the Department of Crop Crop Science Greenhouse #2, Cavite State University Main Campus, Indang, Cavite. With a capital amounting to P 7,600.50, the project was implemented from September 2014 to January 2015. It aimed to provide opportunity to apply crop production and entrepreneurial skills; determine the probability of the production of papaya seedling; and identify the problems encountered in papaya seedling production enterprise. The project involved production of 360 papaya seedlings of 'Improved Sinta' (Carifiosa Fl ) and 'Red Lady' (Hybrid F 1) in polyethylene bags (4"x4"x10"). Preparation of project site, purchase of seeds and other materials needed in the production, sterilizing garden soil, potting mix preparation and bagging were performed during pre-production activities. Direct seeding, seedling establishment, watering, application of insecticide and weeding were the main production activities done in growing papaya seedlings. The papaya seedlings was sold at P 35.00 to P 40.00 starting two months after planting. The project turned into a successful enterprise which the student enterpreneurs plan to continue and expand after graduation.
