This study attempted to determine the learning style and the academic performance of the students of Lumampong lialaybay Elementary School, Guyam Malaki Elementary School and Tambo Kulit Elementary School. Specifically, the study sought to determine: 1.) identify the demographic profile of the students; 2.) determine the preferred learning style of the respondents; 3.) determine the academic performance of elementary level in terms of their G.P.A.; 4.) Asses the relationship between preferred learning styles and academic performance of the respondents. The study made use of descriptive-correlation method of research. This consisted of analyzing and interpreting the learning styles and the academic performance. Instruments used in data gathering were the Pupils Descriptive Questionnaire and Form 137 of each student was also utilized to gather the information.
The study was conducted at Lumampong Halayhay Elementary School, Guyam Malaki Elementary School and Tambo Kulit Elementary School, Indang, Cavite. The respondents included were 150 students.
The statistical measures employed were mean, frequency, percentage, correlation coefficient, significance, decision and verbal intervention. The study revealed that the learning styles had relationship to the-academic performance of the students. Students learning styles were found to have high significant correlation with the academic performance of the students.
