Abstract: BEDAR, ALYNE V., GAVIN, JAMAICA P., GORGONIA, JOENUEL A. Profiling *If Human Resource Personnel of Selected Electronics Companies in Cavite. graduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Marietta C. Mojica. Generally, the study was conducted to determine the profile of human resource personnel of selected electronics companies in Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: determine the background information of the electronics company and its human resource management; identify the functions performed by the HR of the electronics company; determine the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of HRD personnel; identify the problems encountered by the HRD personnel in their job; and list down the possible solutions undertaken by the HRD personnel. The study was conducted in 60 electronics companies in the province of Cavite from June 2015 to January 2016. Data was obtained through survey questionnaire using a confirmed visiting schedule. Data were analyzed using frequency count, mean, percentage, range, standard deviation and rank. Most of the participants are corporation; Japanese-owned; located in their main offices; operates from 10 to 17 years with the average of 15.73 years and standard deviation of 6.98; distributes its product outside the Philippines; with a number of employees from 110 — 390 with the average number of 389 and standard deviation of 210; having human resource department/personnel department as unit of their hrm and considered as top management; having a human resource manager as head of its hr. office; with the number of hr. personnel ranging from 1 to 12 personnel with an average of 6 person and standard deviation of 7.41. Most of the actual functions of the human resource department of the participants are aspects on human resource planning; training and development; compensation program; and appraising personnel. The demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the participants mainly are female; with age bracket from 21 to 32 years old with a mean average of 30 and standard deviation of 6.01; with civil status of single and graduated in college. Positioned as hr support staff; regularly employed; with a monthly salary ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 pesos while working from 1 to 10 years with the average of 3.98 and standard deviation of 2.58. Participants are currently doesn't have organizational membership and presently attending trainings but not as common in terms of tours. As for the duties and responsibilities, the data were categorized in two, the aerial position and the support staff position. For the managerial position, majority or the participants are doing a lot of assessment in loans contributions while in the art staff position, majority of the participants is answering phone calls. Majority of the participants are having problems in terms of recruitment timing; lack of qualified applicants; unfamiliarity with the job; and back out applicants which is under the HR planning, recruitment, selection and placement problem category. Most of the participants are creating solutions in response to its problems, majority of the solutions given by the respondents are finding another applicant and right people and setting a time table are said by the majority of the participants be the solution in the problems in HR planning.
