Abstract: CANETE, JOSUA D. and PEGOLLO, EDWARD JOSEPH D. Campfire: Android based Camping Survival Guide. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Ms. Charlotte B. Carandang. The study was conducted to create an Android app that will guide campers in their different camping activities. The mobile application has five (5) modules, namely: backpack checklist module, handbook module, first aid tutorial module, frequently asked questions module, and interactive tutorial module. Feature Driven Development was used as the methodology in the development the software. It helped the proponents to develop the mobile application in a short time and easiest manner. 50 participants, consisting of 40 campers and 10 IT specialists, evaluated the mobile app in terms of its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability and user-friendliness. Based on the results of the evaluation of the campers, or the nontechnical participants, they assessed the app as "Excellent" (i = 4.795, SD = 0.5033). Consequently, the IT specialists also assessed Campfire as "Excellent" (5e = 4.71, SD = 0.3993). This implies that Campfire can solve the usual problems encountered during camping activities.
