Abstract: DE GUZMAN, CHRISTIAN S. Development of Management Information System for Barangay Pinagtipunan, General Trias, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Ms. Vanessa G. Coronado. This study was conducted from August 2017 to March 2018 at Cavite State University- Main Campus to develop a management information system for Barangay Pinagtipunan, General Trias, Cavite to help the residents and public servants of the barangay to easily identify some specific concerns in the data of an individual inside the barangay. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. develop a system that can lessen the process of each transaction used by the barangay officials; 2. design a system that can be used as storage of information of all the residents; 3. test and evaluate the data integrity and the assistance of its users; and 4. create a system as designed for the barangay's specific needs. The Iterative Model was used as the methodology of the system. To implement the system, PHP was used as a programming language and MySQL used as the database. For the evaluation of the system 10 IT experts and 20 respondents coming from 10 barangays official and 10 resident of the organization evaluated the system and the result were collected through an evaluation based on ISO 9126. Based on the overall evaluation result, the system was judged to be excellent in all software quality criteria. Upon the completion of the study, the researcher concluded that this would be a solution for the problems that the organization encountered in terms of managing information.
