GATDULA, MA.THERESA SOLIVEN, "DON SEVERINO AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE - MEAT PROCESSING LABORATORY": A CASE STUDY. An undergraduate Case Study. Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Don Severino Agricultural College, April 1996. Adviser: Mrs. Florindo C. Ilagan
A three-month field study was conducted at the Don
Severino Agricultural College,Indang, Cavite from December 1, 1995 - Febuary 1996. The study aimed to provide the trainee the chance to apply her gained knowledge in Agribusiness Management to real life working situation, to gather information on the organization and management, production, marketing and financial aspects of the project and recommend possible solutions to the problems identified. One of the problems that the project encountered in production was having typhoon which cause power black-outs. Another thing was lack of equipment used in the processing area. Regarding Marketing, the project had a problem in transportation of processed products. In finance, there is lack of financial support from the College. The author recommends that the project should install a power generator to have a continous supply of electricity so that provcessed meat will not perish. The project should have its own vehicle to transport the processed products to their outlets.
To cope with the problem in finance, the author recommends that the College should give proper attention to the much needed amount of the project. The College should provide more funds.
