Abstract: MEDINA, MERLIZA NORCIO. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite April 1999. Attitudes, Job Satisfaction and Teaching Performance of Teachers in the District of Bacoor. Bacoor, Cavite. Maior Professor: Dr. Cecilia B. Banaag. This study was conducted to evaluate the attitude, job satisfaction and teaching performance of the elementary school teachers in the District of Bacoor I for School Year 1995-1996. Specifically, it sought to determine &le: 1) profile of teacher-respondents included in the study with regard to a) age b) sex c) civil status d) educational qualification e) length of service; 2) levels of attitude of teacher-respondents a) towards work b) towards pupils/students c) towards co-teachers d) towards administrators and supervisors; 3) level of job satisfaction of teacher-respondents 4) levels of teaching performance; 5) teachers' profile in relation to attitudes, job satisfaction and teaching performance; and 6) relationship among the levels of attitudes, job satisfaction and teaching performance. study used the descriptive correlational research design, with questionnaire like Attitude of Teachers Towards Teaching and Job Satisfaction Questionnaire. Likewise, Performance Rating Sheet for Teachers was used in the study. respondents involved were 128 teachers or 73 percent of the total population with permanent appointment in die District of Bacoor I. Mean, frequency distribution, percentage, point biserial correlation coefficient and Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient were free statistical measures used to analyze the data Findings showed that majority of the teachers are female, old and married. They have had bachelor’s degrees in Education, 25.7 percent are graduates of Master of Arts or have units in the graduate level. Majority of the respondents were in the service for more 11 years. Teacher-respondents had highly favorable attitude towards work, co-teachers, and supervisors and got an average attitude towards their pupils. They were generally satisfied with their job; more satisfied with the hygiene factors raffle rather than with the motivation factors. However, respondents were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with their salaries. Teachers in the District of Bacoor I performed their job very satisfactorily with their job. Their attitudes were significantly related to age, but not to sex, civil status, educational attainment and length of service. Age, sex, civil status, educational attainment, and length of service were not significantly related to job satisfaction. However, respondents' age, educational attainment and length of service were significantly related to teaching performance. Sex and civil status were not significantly related to teaching performance. Attitude and job satisfaction were significantly related. Attitudes and teaching performance were not significantly related Likewise, job satisfaction teaching performance were not significantly related.

were not significantly related.
