The study aimed to estimate the cost of traffic congestion to the public utility jeepney drivers and driver-operators. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the socio-economic profile of participants in terms of age, sex, civil status, income per trip, household size, other source of income, monthly household income, years in driving of public utility jeepney, number of operation per week, average income per day and number of jeepney being operated. Identify the characteristics of the public utility jeepney used or operate in terms of age of public utility jeepney and the number of seating, capacity in every jeepney operated. Identify the characteristics of the route of the participants in terms of average number of trips per day, average time of travel per trip, days that has the worst traffic, time that has the worst traffic, area that has the worst traffic, and number of drivers and driver-operators that complete and cut their trips; determine the monthly expense of the drivers and driver-operators; determine the economic cost due to traffic congestion in terms of number of trips per day, time travel per trip, amount of fuel being used due to traffic congestion and daily income due to traffic congestion. Descriptive statistics such as percent, frequency, total average, graphs and tables were used in the analysis and interpretation of data. The 149 public utility jeepney (PIII) selected drivers or driver-operators were the participants of the study. These participants were chosen under the route set on Imus City to Trece Martires City, Dasmarifias City to Trece Martires City, Dasmarifias City to Imus City, Dasmaritias City to Indang, Trece Martires City to Bacoor City, Indang to Bacoor City and Imus City to Indang. Not all drivers and driver-operators followed their registered route instead some of them preferred to cut their trips because there were places that are too congested such as the crossing road of Trece Martires City, Manggahan crossing road, FCIE, Langkaan, Patindig Araw, Robinson Bacoor, and Lumina Mall. In addition, Saturday had the worst traffic because bulk of people goes to the province of Cavite. Some reason are to spending time to their families, some are go to other places to hangouts and the worst traffic time was 8:00 am, 2:00 pm, 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm where in majority of the most congested trip hour belongs to rush hour. The respondents tend to have decreased in trips per day, decreased in daily income, increased in time travel per trip and increased in fuel consumption.
