Abstract: RODRIGUEZ, KELVINSON T. ROCK-IT-ON: A Development of Mobile Application for the Formations of Rocks of the Earth for the Grade VII Students. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Mr. Jake R. Ersando. The study was conducted from June 2016 to March 2017 at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University — Main Campus. It aimed to create a mobile application that will help the Grade VII students to easily identifying the structure and kinds of rocks in the given formations of the earth. Incremental methodology was used in the study, which has the following phases planning, analysis, and design, develop/build, test, deploy/release, and maintain. 110 participants, composed of 74 Grade VII students, 16 teachers, and 10 IT, evaluated the system. They evaluated the app using software evaluation forms based on ISO 9126. All the indicators got a verbal interpretation of "Excellent." The software has an average mean of 4.71 and standard deviation of 0.45, interpreted as 'Excellent'. It implies that the app has fully met the expectations of the participants and is ready for deployment.
