A Farm Practice entitled "Production of Garlic using Myko-Vas Biofertilizer", was conducted at the Central Experimental Station of Cavite State University from October 1997 to January 1998. The project aimed to: a) demonstrate the effectiveness and; b) determine using Myko-Vam. A total of 250 m2 land was planted with 5 kg. of garlic bulbs. All the necessary cultural management practices were employed including the use of Myko-vam (vesicular-arbucular mycorrhiza) applied to the cloves before planting. The total yield derived from 250 m2 was 110 kg of Myko-Vam in the the profitability production of garlic of garlic production of garlic bulbs equivalent to 4,400 kg/ha. This showed that the use of Myko-Vam Biofertilizer and the application of necessary management practices helped increased the yield of garlic. The total cost of production amounted to P 5,181.28 of which 20.3 percent was spent for the purchase of materials, 65.8 percent for labor expenses and 13.9 percent for fixed cost • The total gross income amounted to P12,850.00 and the net income amounted to amounted to p7,668. 72.The Return on Investment (ROI) was 148%
